Most Many Some of my readers know that along with my weekly blog that focuses on good marketing ideas, I have a fun app in the Apple app store. It is called S.L.O.T.H. (Systematic Loafing Offers True Happiness), and it is the pedometer app that encourages you to slow down.
Actually , S.L.O.T.H. suggests that you not exert yourself at all, since no matter how well you do, there is always going to be someone who wants you to increase your effort the next time. (Yes, Bonnie, I am talking to you.)
S.L.O.T.H. keeps an accurate account of your daily footsteps, while at the same time humorously encouraging you to not over-do it, by providing humorous reminders as your tally mounts up:
- The song doesn’t say, “Walking on the dock of the bay.”
- Yawning is a lot healthier than gasping
- Your question should not be how fast to go, but whether you should order a Grande or a Tall
- Perspiration is not a sign of healthful activity. It is a sign of sweating
- “When I feel like exercising, I just lie down until the feeling goes away.” Mark Twain
The problem is that soon Apple, rumor has it, will insist that all apps be 64-bit, rather than 32-bit, though if you have no real idea of what that means, do what I do, nod knowingly…and continue reading. I am not sure what the actual cost to convert my app would be, but I am certain that I would have to sell a lot more of my ninety-nine cent app than I have been.
So that is my dilemma. Do I upgrade to 64 bit, or do I let S.L.O.T.H. die a natural death.
Which is where you come in. If you have been thinking of buying my app—or suddenly are now considering it—go the app store by clicking here.
If enough of you buy the app, then S.L.O.T.H. will live, stronger than ever, reincarnated in all its 64-bit glory. And for those who believe that Sloth, as one of the seven deadly sins, should be replaced with “exercise,” this is your chance to make your voice heard.
Got the idea?
