I am sure we will be seeing tons of great commercials during this Sunday’s Super Bowl. And since they cost around 4 million dollars each to air, I certainly hope the advertisers get their money’s worth.
Everyone will be judging how entertaining each spot is, and voicing their opinion. But I, of course, am a paid professional, so I will sequester myself from the voting. Instead, let me provide a link to 11 commercials from the past considered among the 10 best. (Hey I’m a writer, not a mathematician.)
And, from a poll conducted by the Boston Globe, may I present the all time favorite Super Bowl spot.
Enjoy, and may the force be with you (that was the runner up all time favorite).
One last thing regarding Super Bowl commercials...and network censorship! Read this article about CBS banning a spot because they thought it would offend two of their biggest advertisers. Hard to believe.
The coke ad still make me tear up.
The DID end up running the soda stream ad and I thought it was kind of shocking. I was surprised that they ran exactly because I thought it was hitting Coke & Pepsi directly and the waste of so many empty plastic bottles.

The ad they ended up running was not the one that CBS objected to. I believe that one was much heavier on hitting Coke & Pepsi.
