Tis the time for forecasting, reminiscing, predicting, thanking, guessing and prophesying. And I hope you enjoy your visits to the blogs that do all that.
Instead, for the New Year, let me put a smile on your face and share three good ideas; combinations of words that require a brief mental beat to fully register, which is why they are so involving, so sticky. Each idea is not oblique enough to make readers scurry past, nor is it so boring as to be invisible. They each hit, as the post title suggests, right where a good idea should.
First, this headline for The Salvation Army:
WHEN YOU PUT MONEY IN OUR KETTLE, EXPECT CHANGE.
Next, a slogan for the IFC TV channel:
ALWAYS ON. SLIGHTLY OFF.
Finally, since everything has to come in threes, a tagline of mine, for a wedding photographer client:
BECAUSE THERE ARE NO DO-OVERS.
Hope you agree. Now go enjoy that cup of kindness. See you next year, and thanks for all your visits and comments.
