There is a lot of fighting going on in the Smartphone patent license battlegrounds. Apple sues Samsung.
HTC and Apple declare a truce.
Samsung Electronics goes to court to demand to see the license agreement with HTC, saying it is relevant to their case.
Though I guess it does get a lot of press, given the brand names involved, I don’t think it is top of mind with most consumers.
Certainly Apple and Samsung’s litigation is not what comes to mind when you spot a Smartphone headline that says, “We make Phones Not War.” Especially since the petty patent problems of phone companies, no matter how important to them, pales in comparison with all the hostilities and actual warfare going on all over the globe.
Yes, I understand the point LG is making. And their first copy line does lead you in the direction they want you to go: “True innovation comes from collaboration.” But somehow the confusion I felt on seeing the headline overrides any rational claims LG might make about playing nice. And certainly doesn’t convince me that they have a superior product.
So I guess if this were a review of a restaurant, I would give LG one star for their attempt to be different, but then deduct two stars for how they went about it.
Got the idea?
I was pleasantly surprised.

Glad to hear it. Though I wonder what caused the enjoyment...The blog, the info, the font?
Thanks
