Hi. I’m back in town and reading all the entries in my “Write a headline. Win a book.” Contest. (And yes, I do understand the irony of awarding my book, “All You Need is a Good Idea!” to someone who has shown their creative talent by winning a contest for creating a good idea.)
While you are eagerly awaiting the results, here’s an interim post, the point of which is to remind you never to waste an opportunity to strengthen your brand. Such as the sign on your door stating your hours. The invoices you send out. The way your receptionist handles the calls. All are often overlooked places to add a little something to reinforce your overall message.
As you can see from the graphic above, Bell provides environmental services. And, I guess to avoid lawsuits, they post warnings to caution people to be alert. They could have just said “Caution,” and be done with it. But, as you can see, they took the opportunity to add a nice little message. “The inconvenience is temporary. The results are permanent.” They further add, “We guarantee it.” While the sign could use some spiffing up, it is still a good idea. An idea that should trigger your creative juices.
Got the idea?
