I usually blog about ideas: Good ideas. Bad ideas. Even “eh” ideas.
But today’s post merits a new category, one that I will call, “You’ve got to be kidding.” I mean, yes there is an idea here. However, it’s an idea that I find so distasteful, ridiculous, and absurd I first thought that it was an April Fool’s joke, or a spoof, or a college humor video.
The “idea” is to have coupons printed on toilet paper, so that…No. I can’t. Check it out yourself. And let me know what you think.
Though Bill Bernbach himself couldn’t convince me this is a good idea.
Hey Jay,
My name is Bryan Silverman and I am co-founder of Star Toilet Paper. I am glad that you were able to find out about us and what we do. We founded the company 2 years ago after talking to numerous business owners who were frustrated with the ineffectiveness of current advertising's ability to reach a capture audience. We are currently working with over 40 companies that are very excited about our $5 CPM and uniqueness.
Would love to hear your thoughts more in-depth on what qualities you look for in an advertising campaign.

Bryan,
Delighted to hear from you. The long answer as to what I like can be found in three years' worth of my blogs. The shorter answer can be found in my book.
It is fine that 40 companies may not agree with me.
Best,
Jay
