In case you were wondering what all the celebrating is for today, at least part of it is for Ms. Aruna Ganesh Ram, of Chennai, India, who is the 2011 winner of the (evidently) worldwide “Write A Slogan. Win My Book” Contest.
As you no doubt recall, I created an imaginary product, RE-TOUCH. The concept was that when you are finished painting a section of your home, you pour the remaining paint into the RE-TOUCH container, which then allows just enough air to enter so that when you eventually decide to retouch what you have painted, it will be a perfect match to your aged surface.
Ms. Ram’s winning headline is: "A Touching Second Chance," which, as she suggests, has both an emotional and rational appeal. As soon as I can figure out the postage, I will be sending her a copy of my book, All You Need Is A Good Idea!
My thanks to all the other entrants who sent in their ideas. I enjoyed reading them all, and I look forward to your entries in next year’s contest.
